Earth Day is basically an annual event that is celebrated every year on April 22. It is held in order to show people’s support for environmental protection. Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970 and now it is celebrated in more than 192 countries. Well, it is also considered as the largest secular observance in the world. This year is it’s 50th anniversary, focusing on the theme ‘climate action’.

Earth day has been getting worldwide popularity since its introduction in 1970. The main objective of Earth Day is to make a sustainable, healthy and clean living habitat for the people as well as wildlife. It reminds us of how fragile our planet earth is and how important it is to protect our earth. Earth Day promotes environmental awareness and it indicates that we can protect our earth by doing some activities in our everyday lives. After all, there is no planet B.
